Raquel Cinat

Raquel Cinat is Program Director at Watts Village Theater Company. She is responsible for administrative development and departmental oversight. She currently works as a Crisis Intervention Case Manager at Beyond Shelter, a non-profit organization that combats chronic poverty, welfare dependency and homelessness through the provision of housing and social services in Los Angeles County.

Raquel has been involved in various organizations serving individuals and families in crisis, at-risk youth, and incarcerated people for the past eight years. She joined the Los Angeles Detention Ministry volunteers group at Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall, Family Foundations, and Justice Partners: Women and Criminal Justice. She also worked for Leadership Thru Books, Beyond Shelter - as a Coordinator of Evaluation Mechanisms- and Reach LA- as a Special Events and Youth Outreach Coordinator. Raquel holds a B.A. degree in Psychology and is a Public Allies Alumni.

Raquel's vision to improve our community is to be part of small groups of individuals who believe in a cause and are willing to work hard to achieve common goals and serve others. She believes cooperation among diverse individuals can make a difference in the community of Los Angeles and serve as an example to inspire and encourage other people to act.
